The 57th Annual Greenwood Seafair Parade, one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the summer takes place on Wednesday, July 25 at 6:00pm. This year's parade theme is "Going Green for Greenwood" to support Seattle's mission to go green by 2008.

Greenwood's Very Important Kids Parade will take the lead at the 57th Annual Greenwood Seafair Parade. Kids up to age ten are invited to build an environment-friendly float, decorate bikes and wagons, form a drill team, or just get creative. Whatever you do, don’t miss the parade!

Judging for the Very Important Kid Parade begins at 5:15pm at 95th and Greenwood in the Salvation Army parking lot. Entries will be judged on imagination and creativity, so start dreaming up the ultimate float today!

The parade also features local dignitaries and such traditional crowd-pleasers as the Seattle Police Motorcycle Drill Team, Seafair Clowns, the Chinese Community Girls Drill Team, floats, and the Seattle All-City Marching Band.

The parade route runs along Greenwood Avenue from N. 95th St. to N. 85th St, turns right (west) at 85th and continues to 6th Avenue NW.
